About event
Commented tour "he loves me - he loves me not" with the participation of curator Marianna Brinzová and author Eduard Klena jr.
“he loves me - he loves me not” is a sound video installation and output from Arts Itoya's residency in Fukuoka, Japan. He chooses from all the feelings that we feel when falling in love, precisely the feeling of anxiety and uncertainty. Whether a loved one will reciprocate our feelings, whether he will love us forever, whether we devote ourselves to him enough, whether we are worthy of him, whether we are the only one, from a wide spectrum of people, who deserves him and whether he will one day pass away. We cannot consider anything in the world to be eternal, so the loss of a loved one confuses us. Sometimes more, sometimes less. In a weak moment it climbs to the surface, when distracted it takes refuge in a dark corner of our mind. But it never gets lost and is always there somewhere in the back. Anxiety and uncertainty are the key words/feelings that connect the massive site-specific installation in the space of the House of Art in Bratislava, in the juxtaposition of four mutually communicating elements/scenes. design: Veronika Kurcinová
