After about three decades on the boards that mean the world, the actor Tom Quaas asks the questions: »What have I played so far? What else would I like to play? ”. He wandered through his previous roles, which shaped his game on the stages of the Dresden State Theater, the German Theater Berlin, the Societaetheater Dresden and his own productions at the Batzdorfer Pentecost Festival.

For the implementation of the piece, Tom Quaas brought the cellist Ekaterina Goryynina to his side. The multifaceted musician is not only at home in the field of chamber music, but was also able to inspire the audience with various theater productions of the Dresden state activity.

Tom Quaas | I was born actor & director
in 1965 in Dresden. I completed a carpenter and carpenter apprenticeship before studying acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theater. Then I played at the Volkstheater Rostock and at the TJG in Dresden. From 1994 to 1999 I was involved in the Dresden State Theater, where I was seen as a Peer Gynt, as a Peer Gynt, as a Riff in "The Rocky Horror Show", as a title figure in "Clavigo", as Mauler in "The Holy Johanna der Battle Sights", as Wilhelm in "The Black Rider", as Karl in "The Robber", Macheath in "The Dreigere opera" as well as Richard III. in Shakespeare's piece of the same name, to name just a few roles. I also worked as a lecturer. In 1999 I was firmly brought to the Deutsche Theater Berlin by Johanna Schall and, under the directorate of Thomas Langhoff, played, for example, in "Minna von Barnhelm", "Don Carlos", "Edward of II." And the main role in "Child of our time". As Macheath I guested in Kiel, Hanover and at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. From 2001 to 2015, as a constant guest, I was again part of the ensemble of the Dresden State Theater. In 2006/07 I studied in France at the CNAC Clownie & founded the Dresden Theater Circus in 2008. I have been a freelance actor and director since summer 2015 and lead the Pentecost festival in Batzdorf.
Ekaterina Gorynynina (violoncello) comes from Russia and has been in Germany since 2011. Ekaterina is a multifaceted musician. Her passion, curiosity and openness to music led to a repertoire of Renaissance, baroque, classic cello, oriental music, jazz, folk and contemporary music. The focus of the work of Ekaterina makes chamber music and theater. Ekaterina has been participating in the staging of the Dresden Schauspielhaus according to the novel by F. Schiller "Kabale und Liebe" under the direction of D. Tavadze for seven actors and a cellist, played in 2020 with Anton Adasinsky and "Derevo" Laboratory Premiere "Pureness" ("The well -tempered piano" by J.S. Her passion for modern music led to collaboration with composers such as I. Sokolov, K. Prasolova and V. Martynov (premiere of the Singapore Symphony as part of the Vladimir Symphony Orchestra, 2008 Tchaikovsky Concert Hall Moscow), in the ensemble "El Perro Andaluz" with H. Lachenmann, Mark Andre, H. Oering, A. Schnebel and V. Ranev, with Berlin composer B.Wiget and M. Doelemann. She is a member of the international guitar festival IL de Re, France, the International Elbe Festival Dresden, Germany, the Festival for Contemporary Music "Pan - Festival" Seoul, Korea and others. The main instrument, the cello, found Ekaterina enthusiasm on another instrument, Viola da Gamba, and completed a degree in Berlin in 2023 at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
