About event
NEW!!! The most bizarre detective comedy with songs is coming to Slovakia.
Theatrical comedy COCO and TINA is a funny parody of the well-known classic detective stories by Agatha Christie. One corpse, one detective and three suspects in one room. During the interrogation, the viewer learns a lot about the characters' characters, their lives and especially their tangled relationships.
The story takes place in New York in the 1930s during the well-known economic crisis. A well-known businessman has to solve his financial situation in an unconventional way. However, his plan gets out of control and causes a chain reaction of events, which is full of misunderstandings, substitutions and other unexpected situations, which ultimately bring humor, entertainment and funny revelations to the audience.
Sisters Coco and Tina changed husbands at a certain stage of their lives and after the divorce remarried their former brothers-in-law. One of them dies mysteriously. Hysterical and overly affected Coco reacts completely differently than rational and passionate Tina. Her husband John, an alcoholic and hochstapler, finds himself in an unpleasant situation, because he was the only one who knew the plans of Jimmy - Coco's current husband. He's dead - which wasn't quite part of the plan.
A 90-minute detective comedy in one act without an intermission, it is made up of five blocks, within which there is an opening "introduction" scene, followed by three suspect statements and a conclusion. Individual passages are separated by songs in musical style.
The narrative show takes place in the rich scene of a millionaire's salon in a luxury apartment in Manhattan, in beautiful period costumes and as a bonus - with a lot of interesting information about the given era.
beautiful songs by author Lukáš Janota.
actors: Lucia Lapišáková as Coco, Katka Ivanková as Tina, Přemek Boublík or Andy Kraus as John and Pavol Plevčík in the double role of the inspector and Jimmy.
script and director: Andy Kraus
performance length: 90 min (without intermission)
