About event
✨ COLD COLD NIGHTS ✨
Cold Cold Nights have been active on the independent scene since 2015. The band was formed around Jakub Jirásek, formerly known under the pseudonym "J". The debut record (The) Last Summer earned nominations for the Angel and Apollo awards.
Cold Cold Nights played dozens to hundreds of concerts, including destinations across Europe from France to Bosnia. They preceded bands such as Sleep Party People, Cymbals Eat Guitars, The Listener and were co-founders of the now legendary semi-secret Miro festival.
The second album Ten Years Later was released at the end of 2022 under the DIY label Black Pear Label and earned Apollo Award nomination for record of the year. Eight songs with a wide range of sounds from synths and organs to trumpet and glockenspiel are a little poppier than the previous album, but still maintain the unmistakable facade of lo-fi indie. The live performances of Cold Cold Nights are known for their sensitive light design, which is taken care of by the fifth member of the group, Klára Došková. CCN is currently finishing a new EP, which will be released at the end of the year.
🌱 CARYA 🌱
Carya is a two-member project originally from Uherské Hradiště, consisting of Barbora Gajdošová and Martin Smělík, who at the same time already Kafara is leading the space for the umpteenth season. Their debut Tales for Z was released at the turn of 2020 and 2021 and operates on the ground plan of the most fragile emotions, which never seem banal. Music that tries to defy the flow of time.
