Collegium 1704: Il Polifemo

One -eyed and three -fingered Cyclop Polyfemos from ancient Greek legends became the central figure of many mythical stories and also their music by Baroque authors. The character of this Poseidon's son and the giant of the unsurpassed forces appears in a number of myths, the most famous of which are fights with Odyssem on his return to his homeland and Thesem, who kills the polypheme. The Italian bassist Luigi de Donato and his charism is the ideal embodiment of the Polyphema character and together with the Collegium 1704 will present a chamber concert project in Prague to inhale the life of ancient Greek. /Strong>
