Singers Lucia Meeuwsen, Hebe Dijkstra and Elena Vink were always in the spotlight at home and abroad, but as the years went by it became quieter. In the “equally moving and humorous” (de Volkskrant) musical performance Coming of Age they celebrate the beauty of their older voices. The three of them have almost a century of stage experience in dozens of opera houses worldwide. Do we only hear transience or mainly life experience, passion, depth and personal stories?
Because these three acclaimed aging divas can do something they were never asked to do in the past: make their voices heard without feeling stuck in a straitjacket. having to wring. With music by Schumann, Mozart, Poulenc, Bizet, Weill and Zimmerman, among others, they search for their own voice, colored by life.
