About event
How does the hustle and bustle of the city create music? Come and try how you can create an original track from ordinary sounds.
In cooperation with ARCHU+, we have prepared a summer special of the Computer Music workshop, which this time starts on the Vltava! During a ride together on pedal boats, we will record the sounds of the river, the city and the surrounding landscape and collect our own music samples. We will then turn them into an original composition together in Rybárn.
The workshop will be conducted by music producers BoLs/sLoB and badfocus, who will introduce you to the basics of sampling, beatmaking and music production. The program is also suitable for complete beginners. You don't need any previous experience.
Just bring your own mobile phone to record sounds and headphones.
Come enjoy summer Prague from a slightly different perspective and discover that music can be created from every splash, clink or squeak you hear along the way. 🌊🎶
singer, rapper, songwriter and producer of electronic music. In his work, he is inspired by the British post-club scene and modern avant-garde electronics
🎤badfocus
The Prague producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Prokop Korb is hiding behind the name badfocus. His music represents "a sonically rich, intimate experience and an effort to constantly expand one's own musical language." By combining electronics with the organic sound of the piano, he creates his own world, freed from genre conventions and traditional practices. Apart from this project, he produced recordings by artists such as Amelie Siba, Totally Nothin, teepee and Karolina Beranova and co-produced music for several films and series.
Both were nominated for the Czeching Radio Wave export project. BoLs/sLoB was also nominated for discovery of the year at the Vinyla awards, while badfocus won the HEMI Music Awards for their work.
🌧️ Unfortunately, the event is canceled in case of very bad weather.
We will contact you in advance and inform you immediately about the alternative date.
