Get ready for an evening of choir music presented by the University of South Carolina Concert Choir & the Choir 129!

CONCERT START: 2:45 p.m.

The University of South Carolina Concert Choir is the flagship choir among choral ensembles and the selected SATB choir of the School of Music. Although the majority of singers major in music, the choir is open to and includes students from a variety of university courses. The choir maintains a busy concert program in our community and region and collaborates with the University Choir and the USC Symphony Orchestra on a major work each year. The ensemble undertakes an international tour every two years; Recent tours took them to Italy in 2024 and to England in 2022, where performances took place in St. Peter's Basilica and Canterbury Cathedral. The most important performances in recent years have included works by guest composers as well as commissioned works by these guests. Additionally, since 2020, the choir has been selected to perform at state and national conferences (SCMEA, SC ACDA and NCCO) on multiple occasions. The choir's long-standing hallmarks include a commitment to premiering new music, performing works that are culturally and socially relevant, and diverse programming that reflects the depth and breadth of the choir's repertoire. Leadership, community and inclusion are promoted in the choir and contribute to a culture of collective and personal growth, which is a core value of the choir.


Choir 129 is a dynamic, multilingual choir in the heart of the Viktor-Adler-Markt. It not only offers a musical experience, but also insights into different languages ​​and cultures. They sing Wporld musixc arrangements from many countries and languages ​​to the secular repertoire. With special arrangements by choir director, jazz singer and vocal coach Marija Blagojevic, the choir brings together 129 people who enjoy singing together.
