About event
“Seines Hoffens never satt, lebt das Herz in Frühlingsträumen.”
In Blatt um Blatt Venus mixes a rich palette of compositions from the Renaissance, Romanticism and Modernism. We combine laments from old masters with our long-cherished desire to enter the sound world of Krenek. After his desolate Lamentations, we warm ourselves to Johannes Brahms' Fünf Gesänge and the rich sounds of Frank Martin's double choir mass. In this way, desperation, hope and warmth descend on the listener. In January, when all the leaves have fallen and the streets are quiet, the music fulfills our longing for a new spring. Invite your friends to a warm winter concert in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Soest. Order tickets and come listen!
