Concerten "Saudade" - Zuiderkerk, Amsterdam

This spring, the Utrecht Student Cantorij "Saudade", a beautiful program that is entirely devoted to the music of Latin America. Swinging rhythms, colorful harmonies and moving vocal lines come together in this music, which is just as versatile as the countries themselves.
"Saudade" is a typical, Brazilian term that is difficult to translate. It includes homesickness mixed with desire. The term is inextricably linked to the extensive history of the countries. In this program, melancholy and festivity are not afraid to cross each other. For example, age -old folk songs are interspersed with cheerful, contemporary love songs, in which spirituality and nature still play an important role.
All in all, with this program we bring an unimportant ode to Latin America. Swing along, and be surprised by the pearls of Latin American chorus music.

Come and listen on 4 and 6 April in Amsterdam and Utrecht respectively. More info and tickets via www.uscantorij.nl
