aNoise invites you to the third edition of the performance series “Confronting Noises,” an evening dedicated to Contemporary and Experimental-Electronic music.

This edition, subtitled Encountering Closed Doors, features some of the most exciting artists working across improvisation, noise, and hybrid forms in Berlin and beyond. The evening will close with a hybrid ambient set by Tika T, followed by a small after-gathering.

Gustavo Obligado is a Berlin-based, Buenos Aires-born Gustavo Obligado explores the borders of experimental music, noise, and free improvisation through saxophone, clarinet, and electronics.

Eli Piña, from Mexico City, is a saxophonist, improviser, composer, and vocalist whose practice brings movement, percussion, and voice into an expanded language of the saxophone.

Matto Zoppi & Yeonjoon Yoon [Voice, Piano, Electronics]
Matto Zoppi is a Sound artist and Performer working at the intersection of live electronics, poetry and extended voice. His practice merges elements of theater, Radio art and performance art to explore language as a sonic material and a tool of perception.

Yeonjoon Yoon is a composer, pianist, and producer whose work transcends genre boundaries, weaving classical virtuosity with explorations of culture, identity, and innovation. His projects range from reimagined piano études and commissions for contemporary installations to new works rooted in Korean traditions, and he has performed internationally with ensembles such as the Konzerthaus Berlin Orchestra.

Deniz Tafaghodi & Frank [Piano, Electronics (Online)]
Frank, Berlin-based, moves along the border of noise and music using modified instruments and resonator guitar. He is also half of Orange Ear, the duo hosting improvised music concerts in Berlin.

Toronto-based interdisciplinary composer and sound-designer Deniz Tafaghodi works between piano, site-specific performance, and networked sound. She is co-founder of Chaparkhooneh Platform and half of ZeroOne Duo.
