The Ventriloquia Collection, coordinated by UMCOLETIVO and Tigre de Papel, aims to map works by women written in Portuguese in the 20th century, bringing them to public spaces and creating contexts for their reading, analysis and discussion. In 2024, Orlanda Amarilis, one of the most important Cape Verdean writers, would turn 100 years old. The round date served as a motto to implement the joint edition of the various books of short stories he published during his lifetime. Thus, CONTOS reissues a series of short narratives, in which women from the Cape Verdean and Cape Verde diaspora are main characters, effortlessly offering an absolutely contemporary reading of their lives. On December 14th, we celebrated the writer with readings aloud and conversations about her work, with Cátia Terrinca, Fernando Ramalho and Ricardo Boléo (responsible for the collection).
Jardins do Bombarda is a center cultural and community activities promoted by LARGO Residências, in partnership with Estamo and a group of resident socio-cultural organizations. Part of its activity has the financial support of Lisbon City Council (RAAML / Cultural Action and BIP-ZIP Program).
