There is nothing else to do but prepare for an inevitable change. And sometimes a drastic change or end can make it difficult to see them coming. In their latest work, Counterparts decided to capture this surrealistic space while moving their sound to even larger extremes, as the band serving their most sincere testimony.
Kyle Brownlee, received from the underground in Hamilton's Underground on world tour as hard weights hardcor. Over the past 18 years, Murphy could not resist the idea of the day when his well could dry out. "I began to think about what it would be like to write a record as if it were to be our last - to try to do something that I would know that I would be happy with it," explains the honest singer. "I love this band, it's the most important thing I've ever done, and I'm very lucky to have it. But we put it a lot, it's not the most unmarried way of life."
Murphy's straightforwardness is part of the attraction of Counterparts that brought them a faithful fan base. It appreciates relentless sincerity and is the basis of everything the band does. "We are just completely transparent," says Murphy. "Up to the bone. I never hide how I feel."
