About event
Participants will walk around the island of Kampa. He will learn about the history of this artificial island and the Čertovka channel. They will be introduced to the interesting personalities who lived on the island and the secrets that surround this island.
Themes that will be heard during the walk:
- History the creation of the island of Kampa and the Čertovka channel.
- Watermen on Kampa.
- How many mills were there on the island.
- Which important personalities are associated with the island.
- Where the Vltava rescuer of the drowning lived.
Practical information:
- Meeting point: At at the end of Říční street at the entrance to the park in Kampá (bridge over Čertovka).
- The length of the walk will be at least 1.5 hours, then it is possible to continue for a coffee.
- If there is free space, it is possible to buy a ticket on the spot for 200 CZK.
