What if the cast of Grey’s Anatomy had a real medical disaster? What if the cast of Star Trek found themselves in space? Would they collectively triumph, or crumble under the pressure?
.
“As Seen on TV” follows the misadventures of a group of actors who suddenly find themselves forced to do the very thing they’ve only pretended to do. In this 12-week course, you’ll learn this unique narrative improv format from its creator, Kevin Miller. In the process you’ll learn or upgrade all sorts of advanced improv skills: deep character work, complex narrative structures, driving the plot while playing the scene, and more.
.
This course requires at least a year of improv experience and the confidence to tackle something new. You should feel comfortable with large group work. Familiarity with narrative longform is recommended but not required.
.
About the teacher:
.
Kevin Miller performed and taught improv in Austin, Texas for over 20 years. In 2020, he moved to Amsterdam to live with his wife and practice his Dutch. Kevin has teaching experience around the world, from Alaska to Finland to South Africa. He is also the creator and producer of PowerPints, the PowerPoint-based comedy show.
