About event
Author: Zuzana Firmentová & Mária Kižnanská
Exhibition Name: Crabibi Delule
Curator: Michaela Prablesková
Operation: Friday 18. 7. 20 Firment's and Mary Kižnanská is an imaginary world with its own rules and language - utopian escape from reality. It reflects contemporary global topics such as overpressure of information, finding one's own space and an effort to cope with political and social problems. At the same time, the authors criticize excessive awareness, spread of misinformation, hoaxes, and the resulting confusion and tension in society.
Both authors of the presented project, Zuzana Firmentová and Mária Kižnanská, are graduates of the Department of Graphics and other media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. However, their contemporary work reflects individual author's approaches that exceed the classic graphic media. Kižnanská, on the other hand, works with two -dimensional outputs - graphics, drawing and painting - which it connects in his work. She is interested in the overlap between the media and the way in which their visual and meaning planes can overlap and replenish. The Gallery Partner Interpretation is the City of Trnava.
