About event
The event "AI and copyright" will focus on legal and ethical issues connected with the use of artificial intelligence in artistic creation. Artificial intelligence not only brings new creative practices, but also complex questions regarding copyright and licensing. AI models often work with licensed content without the consent of the authors, creating ethical dilemmas and legal challenges. On the other hand, authors using AI-generated content have difficulties in claiming copyright for the results of their creation, which increases the need for recording authoring procedures, documentation and knowledge of AI tools, including their own datasets.
The aim of the event is to connect copyright experts law with artists and designers who use AI in their work, and to encourage an open dialogue about the issue of authorship when working with AI. The discussion will focus on ethical issues of cooperation with AI, both from the point of view of artistic creation and from a legal point of view. In an informal environment, there will be space for sharing experiences and discussing the future of AI in creative fields.
The event is intended for experts in the field of copyright, AI ethics, experts dealing with the legislative framework for the use of AI in creative industries, but also for artists themselves, creative professionals and marketing agencies.
The meeting format will be informal, with invited guests sharing their experiences. The discussion will be moderated by Veronika Macurová Křížová, an expert on AI law and ethics, and Lenka Hámošová, an expert on the creative use of AI and the founder of Creative AI Meet-ups Prague. Participants will also be invited to actively participate in the discussion. The main part of the event will be followed by informal networking with light refreshments, which will enable the establishment of contacts between experts from different fields and communities that do not normally mix.
