CROSSKULTUR: SETIA HATI ANOMAN. Pencak Silat-Workshop mit der Berlin International Silat School

Pencak Silat is much more than just a fighting technique - it combines movement, expression, body awareness and cultural history. The “Setia Hati Anoman” workshop offers the opportunity to get to know this special Indonesian martial art in its many facets.

From form runs (Jurus) to stands (Pasang) and footwork (Lankah) to partner exercises and the aesthetic side of Silat, the Kembangan (“Flower Dance”), participants can expect a varied training. The practical part is complemented by insights into self-defense (Bela Diri) as well as the origin and history of the Setia Hati Anoman style. The workshop invites you to experience the connection between technology, expression and tradition in an intensive and personal way.

The workshop is carried out by the Berlin International Silat School.

CrossKultur celebrates the diversity in Tempelhof-Schöneberg for four weeks - with voices, experiences and stories. The events as part of CrossKultur invite you to listen, marvel and meet - in places where differences and similarities are equally welcome. The House of Indonesian Cultures will of course also be taking part this year with a Balinese and a Javanese gamelan concert as well as a Pencak Silat workshop. Come over!
