About event
Csík Zenekar – Gábor Presser – János Karácsony: The song is ours 2.0
Reloaded with new songs
Csík Zenekar embarked on an exciting venture when in 2020 they released an album that contained only covers , moreover, selected from the songs of a single band, Locomotív GT! The release of the album was followed by a two-year album presentation tour, the success of which inspired the continuation: "The song is ours 2.0". As in the case of the previously released album, well-known and lesser-known LGT songs provided the basis for the new compositions, which Gábor Presser, János Karácsony "James" and the members of the Csík Orchestra present to their audience in the usual way, in a sound world imbued with folk music motifs.
The performance - complemented by unique visual technology - conjures up the songs of the LGT band, founded more than 50 years ago, on stage in a real Csík Orchestra environment, thus showing its audience, whether it is music or a stage show, the traditional and the modern they not only fit together, but also create a whole new world in this fast-paced 21st century in the right fusion.
