reading on the rise of the far right

It is our last sixth meeting this year and we do not yet know if we will have the capacity to organize a meeting next year as well, so consider coming!
. ⊹ . ہ˖ . In recent years, the extreme right has been receiving more and more attention and voter support. We can understand this as a political response to the crisis of liberal democracy, which springs from a deeper crisis of the status quo. Non-growth also responds to the same crises. But it offers completely different ways out. We thus find ourselves in a confrontation not only with the current withering regime but also with its alternatives brought by the extreme right. Examining it and what gives it strength is therefore absolutely essential for planning further joint steps towards a good life within the limits of one planet, not for narrowly defined groups, as the extreme right suggests, but for everyone, as Negrow suggests.

Where does the current support for the extreme right come from? There are two dominant analytical answers to this question from researchers today. One names the causes of the rise of the extreme right in culture and looks for them behind its open racism, chauvinism or misogyny. The second response looks for the cause of the same behind the sense of threat and focuses on socio-economic explanations. We will discuss both of these lines together.

. ⊹ . ہ˖ . Non-growth reading workshops are held regularly once every six weeks. Together, we want to learn about concrete examples through which we can begin to promote a non-growth transformation for a free, equal and interspecies solidarity world.
During these reader meetings, we want to deepen our analysis of today's crises and their causes and get to know concrete functional solutions from the world in order to within our activities or requirements, they did things that are meaningful and effective. In short, we want to strengthen our capacity to contribute to a societal transformation here in the Czech Republic. We believe that setting aside time for joint study and discussion is crucial for this purpose, so we invite you all to join us. The workshops are part of our Post-growth summer school project, which was supported by the European Solidarity Corps. Thanks!
