Curses in Tolhuistuin

The courses established in New York and Berlin makes music for those who find beauty in the darkness of Berlin. The duo mixes rock-n-roll with the dark side of disco and combines spooky vocals and echoing guitars with influences from EBM, New Wave, Postpunk and Psychedelic Synths. With two albums released on Dischi Autunno and an exclusive LP in collaboration with the Paris fashion brand Saint Laurent, Curses also composed music for fashion brands Calvin Klein, Raf Simons and Dior. Live performs as a duo, with Luca Venezia on echoing guitar and vocals, and lady Bonnet on bass and metallic snares. During their performances they look for the border between tight structures and free improvisation, with Krautrock experiments and spontaneous jam sessions as a common thread. Outside the podium, the duo released music on underground labels within the wave and gothics scene, such as Oráculo Records and S.O.I.L., and worked together with artists such as Blind Delon and Jennifer Touch.
