CZIBOR, A RONGYLÁBÚ
- musical in 2 acts about Zoltán Czibor and the Golden Team -
text book and lyrics written by: CSABA VIZELI
music: ZOLTÁN PÉCSVÁRADI
LEIRÁS: Zoltán Czibor, the legendary left winger of the Golden Team, the unpredictable "Fool", "Rongylábú", the musical presenting the career of the eternal master of fun, was created as a highlight of the Czibor 90 commemorative year. The musical piece gives a glimpse into the golden age of Hungarian football and its background through the history of the Golden Team. Through the entire era of the 1950s, we can see how power shifts away from the favored stars in a few moments after the World Cup defeat, and how the biggest players are forced to stay abroad after the 1956 revolution. In addition to the players of the Golden Team, László Kubala, Gusztáv Sebes, and Mihály Farkas also appear in the play. A heart-wrenching story about the history of the Golden Team, the adventurous genius of the golden age of Hungarian football, and his endless patriotism.
