About event
Julija Hartig - violin
D a r k V e l v e t - a musical autobiography.
Sergei Prokofiev Sonata, op. 115 for solo violin
Tibor Hartig 'Monolog' for solo violin (1993)
Calliope Tsoupaki A song for Isidora (2020)
Rudolf Bruči 'Guslarska' for solo violin (1993)
Florian Magnus Maier 'The Music of Erich Zann' for solo violin and electronics (2022)
It is not surprising that Julija Hartig is described as 'a curious violinist with courage'. In addition to her orchestral and chamber music activities, her life took a turn during Covid, when she decided to record a solo CD. The result was 'D a r k V e l v e t', a musical autobiography in 2022. With this special CD she won an Edison Classical 2023 in the Newcomer National category. This morning she will play a number of works from this CD, supplemented with Prokofiev's Sonata for solo violin.
