D.K. Harrell in Zonnehuis

D.K. Harrell was drawn to the blues from an early age. Films such as The Blues Brothers, Cadillac Records and Ray inspired him to sing and play. At the age of sixteen he started writing his own songs. His debut album, 'The Right Man', was released in 2023 on the Little Village label to rave reviews from the press and enthusiastic reception from fans. With the new album 'Talkin' Heavy', Harrell is ready to bring his new music directly to the public. Armed with an extensive blues vocabulary, Harrell creates his own sound and blazes his own trail with every performance. As he says: “The past provides a blueprint to which you can add yourself. I continue to make progress by keeping all genres in the mold. And I continue to bring my music to younger people everywhere I go. I am determined to bring the blues to a new generation of fans.”
