Dana Gavanski

The indie artist was born in Vancouver and raised in her Serbian family. Dana originally planned to pursue a career in film. However, she shifted her focus back to music when her ex-partner left her his guitar before she moved to NYC. She only knew how to play Joan Baez's 'Diamonds and Rust', but taught herself more using a Travis picking technique book. This resulted in her first EP, Spring Demos. In 2019, Dana signed with Full Time Hobby and released two singles ("One By One", "Catch") and announced her debut album "Yesterday Is Gone", a co-production between Sam Gleason, Tunng's Mike Lindsay and Dana herself. Dana's second album "When It Comes" was released in April 2022, followed by headline tours of the UK, Europe and North America. America, and will be followed by the third album LATE SLAP, which will be released in April 2024. Dana's music is for fans of Aldous Harding and Marlon Williams but with a modern touch.
