Dance Party at Ice
Event by: Brenna Schmidt
Location: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, South Macadam Avenue 4310, Portland
About event
This event is about turning protest into celebration — using music, dance, and community joy as powerful acts of resistance.
From 6:00–8:00 PM, we’ll gather in front of the ICE facility to raise our voices with energizing chants and messages of solidarity — exercising our freedom of speech in a positive, uplifting way.
Then, at 8:00 PM, we’ll turn up the music for a joyful dance set featuring the Chicken Dance, the Hokey Pokey, and the Cupid Shuffle! Together, we’ll fill the space with laughter, rhythm, and connection — showing that our care and collective energy are stronger than fear.
Bring your voice, your moves, and your friends — and let’s create a vibrant, welcoming space for immigrant justice and community joy!
