DANTOPIA is a weekend symposium connecting contemporary dance, performance and outdoor stay. Together we will go from Prague to the camp on the Sázava River for a weekend full of workshops, performances, discussions and deepening and sharing our movement practice.
Our main topics in motion and discussions will be regeneration and ecology-including ecosystem thinking, eco-automatic approaches, queer ecology and sustainable artistic practice. Together we will look for a dance can address not only human audiences, but also space, landscape and more-non-human beings around us. No previous experience with movement is needed.
✴️ What awaits us?
The program is being prepared for you by residential artists who will be at Alta Air Camp for a week and will create a series of workshops, sharing and performances for the weekend. Awaiting us:
Movement practice in the landscape
Site-specific Performance
Open tests
Discussion
time for rest and regeneration
Detailed program including time schedule will be specified.
✴️ For who DANTOPIA is?
For art and perforstality, which has experience in working with the body and desire to further develop it. No professional training is required - openness and curiosity are enough.
✴️ Transport
From Prague we will go together by bus on Friday afternoon from the Libeň studio Alta, together we will return on Sunday evening. Transport is part of the price, but you can arrive on your own axis. There is a parking lot on the spot.
Alta Air Camp lies approximately 85 km from Prague.
✴️ Accommodation
You will sleep in your own tent in the camp. There are also several simple wooden cottages. These are shared and designed mainly for those who cannot sleep in the tent. If you need a bed, let us know as soon as possible - we'll try to find a place. In any case, take your own sleeping bag. After registration, we will send you an order form with the possibility of ordering vegetarian or vegan food for the whole weekend. Of course, you can also eat on your own axis-but there is no shop in the vicinity, so you need to prepare well. Therefore, we offer three price levels. When selecting the amount of the contribution, please consider responsibly your financial situation. The amounts offered correspond to the actual cost of organizing the event, but all variants ensure the same participation.
All three types of tickets include program, transport and accommodation:
⟡ 1200 CZK - this amount will cover the costs of transport and accommodation.
⟡ 1600 CZK - This ticket will pay not only transport and accommodation, but also art, which is preparing a weekend program. Thank you!
If the price level is completely unavailable for you, contact us at [email protected] we will think of the form of scholarships.
