About event
[CZ/EN]
This is the only concert of this year's Dua concert in Prague, do not miss it!
What began as a random meeting of American singer Allison Wheeler and Czech pianist Daniel Bulatkin in Prague streets blossom into one of the most significant vocal projects of the current European scene. "Winterspring" tells the classic story of contradictory forces that are aimed at growing. The album with a jazz structure intertwines the stories of love, light and secluded into a unique mixture of styles, powered by a rich vocal manifestation and a varied instrumental accompaniment. The album released by the British label Ubuntu Music became one of the most famous debuts of the present. The first ranking in the top 6 critics of the All About Jazz for 2022, besides the names such as Antonio Sanchez, Theo Croker and Makaya McCraven, was included. Their latest concert in the duo in 2024 was a huge success for the natural combination of contemplative authorial music from the album with spontaneous and modern interpretation of classic jazz songs.
"Beautiful, colorful collection of imaginatively built songs, played and sung with a huge heart ..." - 4*, JazzWise Magazine (UK) - Jazz Times (USA)
"Debut Allison Wheeler is one of the strongest song collections of recent years." - 96 %, jazzport. cz - Tomáš S. Polívka, Czech Radio Jazz
Admission: 350,- CZK/person
Tickets: is.gd/bulatkin_wheler
come to see, we will look forward to it!
