About event
Czech scientists have been researching the marginal part of Antarctica in the area of the James Ross Archipelago near the Antarctic Peninsula for more than two decades. The Johann Gregor Mendel Czech Science Station on James Ross Island, which is owned and operated by Masaryk University, serves them for this purpose. How do Czech scientists travel to the farthest continent on planet Earth? What are they doing here? What does the largest deglaciated area in the Antarctic Peninsula area look like? And how has it changed over the past two decades? This lecture will answer all these questions.
