Danny de Munk has been on stage for more than forty years. What started as a boy's dream grew into a life full of music, film, television and theater. On his own strength, he made the journey from Kindster to Rasententainer. Now, where it all started - his hometown - he not only celebrates his birthday, but also his impressive anniversary, together with his band.
Danny de Munk has been living in front of the stage for more than 40 years. His career started early, but was dominated by authenticity, hard work and the heart in the right place from day one. From child star and teenage idol to adult artist: Danny has always remained himself. He breathes authenticity and his characteristic voice has only become deeper and richer over the years. In those forty years he went through countless phases-from musicals to the life song, from films and TV shows to his own concerts in Ahoy, AFAS and the Concertgebouw (1985). Always with the same passion. In this anniversary show he looks back and forward. An evening in which the life of 'then to now' sounds as it really is: raw, honest, full of love with heart and soul.
On Sunday 22 February 2026, Danny is in the Concertgebouw with his band. A place that feels like the crown for more than four decades of craftsmanship. This special evening is not a succession of songs, but a musical life story. Big classics like me feel so damn alone, my city, flower, heart and soul and friends for life ensure emotion and recognition, while his loved one sounds like an anchor point - his heartbeat, his home. Between the stories and songs, the voices of artists who have meant a lot to him also sound, such as Johnny Jordaan, André Hazes and Tom Jones - musical icons who have always traveled with him as friends or idols.
