Dansjewel x Odessa
Sunday 31 August will be a special edition in the open air of Ruigoord: we are going to the beating heart of the Amsterdam Ecstatic Dance Scene, Odessa, the Vrijhaven of Ruigoord in Loodsen. The boat is too small to let the dance against the skirting boards with the entire community together, so this time we are joining forces to dance together for a large stack of thick speakers in the wonderful magic garden of Ruigoord!
dance gates a rough twist to Ecstatic Dance. A playful adventure full of contrasts: light -hearted as well as profound, playful and adventurous, but also earthy and well -founded. Come and immerse yourself in the Kosmies Lek and dance yourself. Law you to the inexhaustible source of music, and surrender to the upright tones that let your limbs resonate deeply. Let the beats model your inner clay and beat alive! Breek the waves of music in a prism of movement and transform yourself into a dance jewel!

Koen Boeijinga opens the afternoon with his whistles, bells, drums and ringing curiosities, and plays in the trees in consultation with the birds while we fall into the grass. Then Sander Ivo van Driel (@Sanderivovandriel) will introduce the dance and generate us for the dance. After which Thomas Meijer (@inphiknightdj) will elevate the feet of the floor with series of swirling sounds and sizzling tones.
Koen Boeijinga
Koen Boeijinga creates a unique One-Man band experience in which he played several instruments at the same time. His wind instruments-saxophone, whistle, bagpipe and ducar-are central, while hypnotic drones of the Shruti box and the harmonium, along with the deep pulse of a bass drum, the foundation forms. Koen further enriches his music with calling, percussion and subtle effects, and thus creates a layered and compelling sound world in which old and new sounds merge. Like a modern nomade, he and his "herd of instruments" pull through various musical landscapes and brings full reasons.
