DARK TRANQUILLITY one of the most influential melodic death bands that formed in Sweden in the early 90s. Together with In Flames and At the Gates, they created a new explosive subgenre that combined the intensity of death metal, used progressiveness and planted catchy, melodic lines of two guitars. Over time, the so-called Gothenburg death metal was also associated with gothic influences, groovy riffing, electronics or the inclusion of clean vocals and reached a completely different atmospheric level.
DARK TRANQUILLITY permanently belongs to the most popular bands in Europe, all over the world and whose albums climb to the top of the sales and audience charts. In March 2020, the band went through personnel changes when founding guitarist Niklas Sundin left. Ten days later, the band started recording the album and hired guitarists Christopher Amott and Johan Reinholdz, who have been touring with the band since 2017. They are currently working on a new album, which will be called "Endtime Signals" and for which the band released the first single "The Last Imagination". ”
"Thematically, the album deals with where we are going, what has really and fundamentally changed within us and how we deal with it. It's been hard to find that spark of positivity lately and there's a sense of sadness throughout the album .Not only in the sense of grieving what we've lost on a personal level, but also where our sacrifices have led us. it's for us to understand that our meaning may not be what we imagined," describes the band's forthcoming thirteenth album, which will be released in August.
Portuguese wolves MOONSPELL were formed in 1992 and released 13 albums, which made an indelible mark on the European metal scene - especially with the now legendary albums "Wolfheart" (1995) and "Irreligious" (1996), which included one of the biggest hits of the nineties - "Opium".
MOONSPELL, led by the characteristic voice of Fernando Ribeiro, enter their fourth decade as an ambitious group, so without looking at anything other than their own musical development, they have repeatedly turned their gothic metal sound - laid on the foundations of death, doom and black - inside out. Examples include albums like 'Sin', 'The Butterfly Effect' or 'Extinct'.
Melodic death metallers WOLFHEART are known for their icy narratives of Nordic heritage and are recognized as one of the fastest growing bands on the international melodic death metal scene. With their newly released album "King Of The North" they continue their chilling narrative of battles and triumphs, and each track on the album tells a different story of Finnish mythology.
Within just two years, WOLFHEART have cemented their position with the release of "Wolves of Karelia" (2020) and the EP "Skull Soldiers" (2021), for which they earned praise from critics and fans. This Finnish wolf pack led by Tuomas Saukkonen is thus a promise of quality Nordic "winter" metal, characterized by its original epic melodies, with relentless, raw guitar riffs and ferocious growling vocals.
This "big three" will be accompanied by the German HIRAES, a melodic death metal band with former members of DAWN OF DISEASE and CRITICAL MESS. They will bring their second studio album to Prague. Dormant" promising brutal vocals of the Brit singer, and aggressive yet melodic guitar riffs.
