About event

Hello!

Do you live in Berlin and speak Polish? Do you like theater and want to develop your creativity? Do you want to meet new people?
I invite you to theater classes conducted by me using improv techniques.
Adults of all genders are welcome, regardless of theater experience or lack thereof.
Please reserve your place in advance.

What is impro?
It is a theater form in which actors play a performance without a script, they do not know what character they will be, where the action will take place and how the scene will end. The inspiration to create the world on stage comes from suggestions given by the audience. Improv develops creativity, divided attention, self-confidence and is also used in areas such as coaching or psychotherapy.

What do typical classes look like?
During the classes we will work, among others: on accepting a partner's proposal, elements of a good scene, creating a character and its emotional world. We will perform concentration exercises, work with the body, use meditation techniques and create improvised scenes. There will also be fun exercises that will help us break the ice and get to know each other.

Who am I?
My name is Kasia Łyjak, I am a sociologist, a certified yoga teacher and a theater enthusiast. I have been involved in theater improvisation since 2005, when I belonged to "No Potatoes", one of the first improv groups in Poland. I am currently a member of The Scratch Company theater and regularly collaborate with other Berlin improv groups. I had the pleasure of learning from the best in this field in the world (Lee White, Jeff Michalski and Inbal Lori, in whose Master Class program I participated for a year).
My dream is to create a Polish-speaking improv community in Berlin and I will be very happy if you want to be part of this adventure.

Cost: First class for free
Subsequent classes: 15 Eur per class.
Are you unemployed or studying? Ask about the discount.

If you have any questions or want to participate, please write: [email protected]

Warm regards!
Kasia
