About event
A string orchestra workshop for more ease and joy of playing!
Philip Douvier's holistic learning concept combines a playful approach with highly concentrated work phases. The trained musician, composer and music therapist Philip Douvier knows that joyful togetherness in the group is the basis for this approach. In a rousing way, like no other, he knows how to create a rehearsal atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and which inspires everyone.
Special features:
-> The program is specifically based on tailored to the registered participants. How does it work? After you register, the conductor will contact you by telephone and discuss your current status on the instrument. Wishes and expectations for the workshop as well as any concerns are also discussed. Afterwards, Philip Douvier selects suitable pieces that are easy for everyone to master.
-> Joint warm-up: Everyone plays individually before the rehearsal, is there a lot of chaos in the rehearsal room? Not with us! Improvisational warm-up rounds are part of it and are always included. They are fun, attract more attention and create a good group feeling.
-> Beginners and advanced players in the same ensemble: overwhelming for some and boring for others? There is another way! Thanks to Philip Douvier's integrative learning concept, everyone is supported at their level. Newbies are supported in the group while more experienced players use their skills, try things out and sometimes take on a solo.
-> You are not alone: a lecturer plays in every register group . As a role model, helper and educator, she/he supports the group during all tutti and register rehearsals.
The pieces are grouped around a different central work every year. Sheet music will be made available in good time so that you can practice the pieces in advance.
