The original production by Sasson/Sautter based on the novel by Gaston Leroux “Le Fantôme de l'Opéra” with Deborah Sasson and Uwe Kröger.
The super production was praised for the quality of the actors, the music and the spectacular stage design Sonnenklar TV awarded the “Golden Sun 2023” for best musical. Deborah Sasson was once again able to play the role of Christine. The audience and the press everywhere are celebrating the singer's interaction with Germany's number 1 musical star, Uwe Kröger, in the role of the Phantom.
Christine is torn between her childhood sweetheart, the rich Count Raoul de Chagny, and her mysterious mentor, whose singing lessons gave her voice a bewitching beauty. “I know who I love, now I want to know who I have to hate.” A sentence that reflects the entire passion of the love triangle, which reaches its dramatic climax before the eyes of the audience.

He played, among others, the leading roles in the premieres of Rebecca, Mozart, The Visit of the Old Lady, Heidi and in the German-language premieres of Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Doctor Dolittle, The Addams Family and Napoleon at London's Westend. Now in this production he takes on the role of the phantom feared by the world and torn apart inside. In addition to the enthusiasm of the large stage ensemble and the breathtaking music, the spectacular stage design is also particularly impressive. It lives both from the effective, three-dimensional video projections by the internationally acclaimed multimedia artist Daniel Stryjecki and from the magnificent stage elements designed and built by Michael Scott of the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
