About event
The publishing house ej publishing cordially invites you to the Artforum bookstore for the ceremonial launch of a new author's comic for adults called Poď!
Come and talk about how a comic is created (in Slovak conditions), why it takes so long, who is involved in the production, until the finished comic reaches the hands of the readers. In other words, everything you ever wanted to know about comics.
They will discuss
▪️ Dávid Marcin – author of the comic
▪️ Ján Púček – co-screenwriter
▪️ Veronika Kopečková – designer
Jana Močková moderates.
In addition to the discussion, you can look forward to a drawing mini battle, a battle between male and female illustrators for the cutest dog drawn within the time limit.
About the book:
Samuel wakes up from a bad dream, startled and sweating. He recovers, sits down, is still shaking, but he cannot escape the gaze he immediately feels on him. It's there. That dog. The dog he never wanted and now he has it around his neck. The dog he didn't want and now has to take care of. The dog that reminds him of everything. Her dog. Her filthy dog.
And on top of that, an endless amount of work, a disgruntled client, unbearable stomach pains, neglected friendships, pissed-off neighbors. And one broken heart. Leading Slovak comic creator Dávid Marcin drew and narrated an auto-fictional story about friendship that doesn't need many words. A paw is enough for him. And a well-thrown ball.
We look forward to seeing you!
