About event
Join us for an unforgettable night of forward-leaning jazz as Soul’d Out welcomes the David Weiss Sextet to Jack London Revue. Trumpeter, composer, and bandleader David Weiss has spent decades shaping the sound of modern jazz, performing with legends and leading acclaimed ensembles including The New Jazz Composers Octet. For this special Portland appearance, he’s joined by longtime collaborators Myron Walden (alto sax), Eric Wheeler (bass), and E.J. Strickland (drums) — each a distinctive voice in contemporary improvisation. Expect deep interplay, adventurous harmonies, and the kind of intimate listening experience JLR was built for. 🎺✨
