Join us for an invigorating day hike from the historic town of Lewes to the vibrant city of Brighton, ending at the iconic Brighton Beach. This scenic 12KM + 6KM trail takes you through the picturesque South Downs National Park, offering stunning views and various landscapes.
WHAT TO EXPECT - HIKING INFO
Distance: 12KM + possibly around 6KM in town
Ascent: c.250 metres
Estimated Duration (approx): 3.5 hours walking depending upon the speed of the group and excluding any breaks.
Difficulty: Moderate
PROGRAMME
Assembly Time: 08:00
Move to the departure platform at 08:30
The train departs at 08:54
The train arrives at 09:56
Meeting Point: Victoria Station. We will assemble it close to the ticket machines and the main ticket office.
We will aim for the 17:20 or earlier train from Brighton back to Victoria for 18:28.
COST
The cost for the hike and train travel is £30 per person. The PayPal payment option is automatically set to the Hike & Train option.
Use the 'NOTRAIN' promo code to pay £10 for only ticket option and meet us at Lewes station (or travel with us, of course; the more, the merrier)

- Entrance fees to any attractions you wish to visit

- Waterproof jacket and trousers (Please no jeans!)
- Water [2L recommended]
- Warm/Windproof layer, e.g. Down/Primaloft/Fleece
- Wicking base layer, e.g. Polyester/Tencil/Merino

- Picnic lunch and snacks
CANCELLING/REFUNDS
Please update your RSVP to say ‘No’ if your plans change. Then, others can take advantage of the newly available place.
If the hike is full, please email [email protected] after the event and request a refund, less the PayPal/Meetup fees. You must provide your email for the PayPal account and transaction reference.
