DAYSEEKER + Rain City Drive + heart of gold • Trabendo • Paris

DAYSEEKER embodies what a rock band can be in the 21st century. Detached from the rules and agnostic to genre constraints, the Southern California quartet - Rory Rodriguez (vocals), Gino Sgambelluri (guitar), Ramone Valerio (bass) and Mike Karle (drums) - exist outside of all limits. As such, they absorb culture at the speed of light, layering hypnotic rock and metallic catharsis over soundscapes punctuated by sparkling later pop, experimental indie, and alternative R&B. Accumulating hundreds of millions of streams, selling out their concerts and receiving praise from the press, the group crystallizes this marginal vision on their fifth full-length album, Dark Sun, released in 2022 [on Spinefarm Records].

“Overall, it makes you feel more mature,” observes Rory. “It's no longer like we're some scene kids trying to be a rock band, we're actually a group of guys making rock music on our own terms. We realized we were happier creating this way. »
