About event
Collective The Festival of Poetry brings the Salon of Verses, a special experience with poetry and music - you can taste the atmosphere of a classic salon in the wonderful atmosphere of the Pianola Museum!
Today's poets perform own work and our classical song duo Saskia de Man-Martig (soprano) and Daan van de Velde (piano) sets Dutch poems to music by unjustly forgotten composers. Four poets from the hand-set, printed and bound poetry periodical Avantgaerde will present: Lennard van Rij, Daan Doesborgh, Mieke van Zonneveld and Simon Mulder. Poet Sarah De Grauwe is represented through a film adaptation of her contribution to Avantgaerde. The latest edition of this periodical is included in Mooi Marginaal, a traveling exhibition with the most beautiful bibliophile and craft publications of the last two years - of course all editions are also available at the book table. And of course suitable selections from the Pianola Museum collection are included: an old recording by Paul Huf Sr. on a special gramophone and a demonstration of the pianola, the automatic piano that was popular around 1900!
More about Avantgaerde's production process can be found on the YouTube channel of the Festival of Poetry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wivRffjnTR0
Entry 17, 50 euros
