About event
A romantic classic for non-believers to get into the Sinterklaas mood. This 19th-century story by Peter de Génestet (1829-1861) about the revelation of family secrets on Christmas Eve is centuries old, but still very much alive in this atmospheric theater solo.
It is St. Nicholas' Eve, 1847. A genuine Christmas Eve is taking place in an Amsterdam canal house, but the daughter of the house is deeply unhappy, while her father is mainly concerned about the family's appearance. Nothing is dearer to him than his knighthoods. Under the guise of the Sinterklaas celebration, the lady of the house decides to put things in order.
Play: Imre Besanger
Harp: Mirjam Rietberg
