Dead Finks and Amen Break will play at Subzero on May 20, 2026.

Dead Finks, a post-punk discovery from Berlin, returns to Prague with a new album. They retain their characteristic mixture of hysterical cynicism and piercing sincerity. Their unique position on the border between sarcasm and sincerity has secured them attention in the underground scene for a long time. The energetic, often harsh sound is somewhat softened by bright guitars, hypermelodic vocal lines and a greater emphasis on clarity and dynamics. Classic pop songs, shoegaze sounds and avant-garde art music flow into their repertoire.

Amen Break is a new band on the Prague scene. A group from the collective The Last of Fuzz, which plays unusually noisy shoegaze. Amen Break is a four-member band in a typical rock lineup: guitars, bass, vocals and drums. And yet they cannot be classified into one genre. Calm shoegaze passages, uncompromising chaos and spectacular noise rock. Oh, and they don't play riff amen break.
