deathcrash are a four-piece slowcore band from London. Despite rising to prominence alongside other great South London bands such as Black Country New Road, Jerskin Fendrix, Sorry and Black Midi, deathcrash have always had a mysterious energy all their own, like shy kids in the corner quietly creating something great.
In January 2022 they released their debut album Return, a 65-minute statement described by Loud and Quiet magazine as "a wealth of musical richness, "which is only surpassed by the depth of associations that run through the album."
Not content with that, the band relocated to the Outer Hebrides just six months after this release to record "Less", their second album, which represents a focused and lean evolution of their sound. “Less” has received critical acclaim from Pitchfork, Line of Best Fit, Brooklyn Vegan, So Young, Louder Than War and Loud and Quiet and has been played on BBC Radio 1 as well as other UK and EU stations. It reached number 76 on the NACC Top 200 in the US.
The band's live shows are visceral, intense and precise. Far Out Magazine named them the best live band of the year in 2023, and their London shows were always sold out. The band has toured with Codeine, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Black Country, New Road.
deathcrash are Noah Bennett (drums), Patrick Fitzgerald (bass), Matthew Weinberger (guitar) and Tiernan Banks (vocals/guitar).
