About event
At first glance, the liberal Czech abortion law has many flaws. Does it guarantee the availability of abortions? Can foreign women from the European Union undergo surgery in our country, when there was no EU (or the Czech Republic) at the time of the law's creation? What do the Ministry of Health and the Medical Chamber think about this issue? What about people with disabilities? We decided to look at this situation again. For the second time, we conducted our independent research on the availability of abortions, we called almost 80 hospitals and the result is the second edition of the report "Reproductive Justice and Availability of Abortions in the Czech Republic".
This year, we expanded our research to include accessibility for people with health disabilities, to whom we dedicated a separate chapter in the report.
The following will debate the results of our research and our report:
• Gabriela Jeřábková (Deaf Women)
• Magdaléna Ezrová (Union of Midwives)
• Radan Šafařík (Tojerovnost • Department of Gender Equality)
The debate will be moderated by journalist Magdalena Dušková.
The event will be interpreted into sign language. The space is barrier-free.
Entrance is free, but if you want to support our future activities, you can donate to the box at the entrance. This year there will also be a print version of the report to take with you!
