About event
We invite you to a debate between the architect and author of poetic texts Pavla Melková and the rapper, founder of the BigBoss label and publishing house, artist, co-author of several books and author of the subject of the new documentary film Architecture of the ČSSR 58–89 Vladimir 518, entitled Experiencing architecture by man as the starting point of her work, which takes place on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:00 p.m. The debate will take place in the exposition of the Antony Gormley / Pavla Melková exhibition.
𖡎 Entry is free.
The exhibition tries to strengthen sensory awareness of places that we inhabit Together, poems, drawings and objects map and activate internal, perceptual and architectural space, confronting us with how we perceive our surroundings and our place in it. The authors approximate the elementary properties and relationships of the world, which can be found even outside the gallery, in the everyday environment. Ones that resonate with similar ones within us. Which help us understand the environment, our place in it and ourselves. Which can contribute to the understanding of the basis of the problems of the present.
The space of the gallery and art makes it possible to formulate essential experiences and thoughts in a pure form. But the real goal of thinking about the environment around us and our place in it is the real environment, which is also significantly influenced by architecture. It is therefore important not to stay only with the limited experience of the exhibition but to transfer it to everyday life. And both to the perception of everyday space by the viewer - user, and to the creation of this environment, i.e. architecture. How the way of thinking presented at the Antony Gormley / Pavla Melková exhibition, and others similar to it, can contribute to the improvement of the real environment will be the topic of the debate between Vladimir 518 and Pavla Melková.
