About event
On Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., a debate with the writer Pavlo Kosatík will take place in Villa Löw-Beer in Brno. He will present his latest book "Business under the Star of David", which discusses the fate of selected Jewish business families. It was these that significantly contributed to the industrial flourishing and the spread of the good name of the Czech lands in the world during the 19th and 20th centuries.
The stories of the Bondy, Kolben, Popper, Waldes, but also Löw-Beer and Tugendhat families are often read as epic dramas, which is certainly contributed to by the author's lively and cultivated language style.
It will also be possible to buy a new book at the event.
Táňa Klementová is the moderator.
The event is held in cooperation with the Moravian Jewish Museum Malý Mehrin.
Free entry.
