About event

How was life for women before the revolution? And how did the revolution change their view of womanhood, feminism and life? Did the women's ideals change and all the wishes and visions they had before the revolution come true? We will ask all these questions and many more, both to ordinary women and to women who joined the revolution.

The discussants will be:

🎙️Terezie Hradilková, co-founder of the Prague Mothers Association, which strives to improve the state of the environment. During the revolution, she participated in demonstrations, distributed leaflets and samizdat. After the revolution, she founded the non-profit organization Society for Early Care, which she led for 20 years.

🎙️Jana Bukovská aside from taking care of her family, Jana works all her life and always tries to get interesting and challenging jobs. She also wanted to travel, but because of the regime, she didn't get to go to all the places she dreamed of. Only after the revolution did doors open for her, both career-wise and abroad. As early as November 1989, she founded a civic forum at her job, and politics became her hobby. Now she works at ŽIVOT 90.

🎙️Světlana Witowská belongs to the most outstanding personalities of Czech journalism in recent decades. She became especially famous for conducting interviews on the ČT24 Interview program and moderating key political debates, for which she received the prestigious Karel Havlíček Borovský Award in 2017. She currently works as a journalist in online news http://xn--aktuln-sta08b.cz/, where she continues her mission to bring quality journalism.

🎙️The discussion will be moderated by Kateřina Paterová.
