► What is the RE-USE CENTER and what is our mission?
► We are opening the Re-use center on Kováčská as part of the NiCE project with the aim of bringing a sustainable way of life to the center of Košice. We want to directly help people in need and teach residents about sustainability.
The things we collect are really necessary for selected non-profit organizations helping people from vulnerable groups.
►What do we collect for ETP?
- carriages
- cots
- newborn clothes, diapers
- paints for painting walls
- synthetic paints for metal
- linoleum
►What are we collecting for the Spletinia centre?
- any orthopedic aids, such as crutches (German and French), walkers, orthoses...
- older first aid kits (also car first aid kits ), they can also be after expiration,
- disinfection (especially peroxide), but also hand disinfection or water disinfection
- candles, safe and used, just they should not be aromatic + empty clean cans up to 0.5 liters
- men's clothes and shoes - for home wear (to hospitals for the wounded, who need to be given second clothes after an injury - i.e. not shirts, nor suits or jackets, not coats and fur coats at all)< br/>- diapers for seniors
- meters of cotton and flannel

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 16:00 to 18:00

►What to think about when handing over material aid?
Your donated items must be clean and in good condition so that the donated aid becomes a real sign of dignity and respect for the recipients. Thank you for all your help and empathy, that you help with understanding and feeling for the needs of others.
►To whom will we hand over the collected material aid?
Civic Association ETP Slovakia - Center for Sustainable Development has been supporting the vulnerable for almost 25 years groups and individuals in eastern Slovakia. The mission of ETP Slovakia is the education and development of people, organizations and communities towards civil society and the dissemination of sustainable development ideas. They accompany clients from cradle to career, bridging communities and educating in the understanding of generational poverty. Together they form complex solutions that help individuals and families from poverty to self-sufficiency.
The SPLETINIA Center was founded in May 2023 as an informal group of volunteers who help people in the frontline areas of Ukraine directly exposed to the fury of war. In the center, Ukrainians and Slovaks meet, where they primarily knit camouflage nets, sew underwear for seriously injured people (soldiers and civilians) in frontline areas, or according to seasonal needs, make trench candles or knit warm socks for hospitals from donated wool. They also hold fundraisers for the purchase of material, or for the direct purchase of medicines and medical supplies for medics in Ukraine. www.spletinia.sk
