About event
✨ For the second time, .DAT is being held at KKC Hviezda in Trenčín in cooperation with SPFM on the Halloween date of October 31.
While the first year of the Day of Audiovisual Creation .DAT was focused exclusively on digital culture, this year it is moving further. The headliner of the evening is the band Berlin Manson, who will present the premiere of their unique audiovisual concept prepared especially for .DAT. The visual aspect of the premises of KKC Hviezda will be taken care of by light designer sedemminut.
🎶 Boris Vitázek will start the evening with his audiovisual work Narrative Absence. This A/V is a mix of his debut release Amalgam and new material from his upcoming album. It is a critical look at the way corporate algorithms shape the everyday narrative of people - their view of the world and their place in it. Fictional past, instruments that are not under the control of the user and strong bass sound design. The space of the hall of mirrors will also include Boris' light, ambient installation, which will be active throughout the night.
🎵 The unbridled element on the electronic scene Kodiki will present himself with the live act Your Excellence, which premiered in June. Kodiki created a performance woven from everything he experienced on the Internet. He himself says that it is "an overstimulated kiss of melancholy on the cheek". This project features new tracks, unreleased tracks, unseen visuals, all sped up. "A unique, new audiovisual show created with love for everyone who is online, even when they go out."
🎶 Techno collective Nočná will take care of the .DAT afterparty again this year. Three well-known DJs will play in the KKC Hviezda club from midnight: Nina Farrina is known above all for her thoughtful, hypnotic techno sets. The native of Trenčín can be considered the most successful Slovak techno DJ of today - she regularly plays in Berlin and throughout Europe as part of lineups with world stars. A faster tempo will be brought by the SJ yellow set, which specializes in hardgroove, breaks, trance and 150+ BPM dance selection. The event will be closed by the creator of the .DAT program, Matwe, who focuses on industrial techno, electro, breaks and eclectic electronic music with a subliminal political message in his sets.
