Deň Európy v Košiciach 2025

The European Parliament's Office in Slovakia and Representation of the European Commission invite to the next year of Europe in Košice, which will take place again in the pleasant environment of the Cinema Smile - already May 12, 2025. Together we want to think about how to protect, develop and not take it for granted. In an interactive competition, visitors can get valuable prizes. In addition, the afternoon full of inspirational discussions and good atmosphere awaits you. The inspiration is the word parliament, which comes from the French parler - to talk. Just as we are discussing public affairs in Parliament, we are creating a place for a cultivated debate, playing social games with European themes or meeting interesting guests in our café. Because the culture of discussion is as important as the culture of coffee drinking. Visitors will be able to create unique daily use products while helping people in need. Product templates have been prepared by disadvantaged groups of women, mothers and people at risk of poverty who improve their living conditions and increase work habits.

This will be followed by a discussion entitled "Liberty Border", which will bring views from various areas of social life to the current state of freedom and democracy in Slovakia and Europe - their direction and the biggest challenges of today.

The next part of the program will be dedicated to European films. A renowned film journalist and critic Peter Konečný will guide you through the world of European cinematography, which sensitively reflects the social and political challenges of Europe. Guests Talkshow will:
